Christ-St. Paul's Community Wide Bible Study!

James:  Mercy Triumphs by Beth Moore

Christ-St. Paul's will be hosting and participating in a community wide bible study. We are going to do Beth Moore's new study on the book of James - Mercy Triumphs.  We will start Monday, February 6th from 6:30-8:30pm. The Study is 7 weeks long, so we will finish before Palm Sunday and all the busyness that brings. There will be a nursery provided. Please call me (Nancy - 889-3240) or the church office to register for the study and to register your kids. I really need to know a head count for books and for the number of sitters I need so PLEASE register. Also, please don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions. The books cost $15.  Can't wait to get started!

YOUTH CONFIRMATION PREP - January 8th-February 12th

During Bishop Lawrence's visit he will also confirm those youth who are prepared and ready to make a "mature public affirmation" of their faith, do so in the presence of the Bishop. Stan & Fr. Craige will be preparing them this year.  Any interested youth contact Stan 766-2332.

Youth Quest teens - If you are interested in being CONFIRMED you are expected to:

*Attend all 5 weeks of Youth Quest AM (Sunday 9-10:15am) "Outrageous Christianity" 1/8 thru 2/12

*Attend all 5 weeks of Youth Quest PM (Sunday 5-7:00pm) 1/8 thru 2/12

*Attend Jesus Weekend on February 17th-19th

Bishop Lawrence Visit-Sunday February 12th 

It will be our honor to have Bishop Lawrence with us on Sunday, February 12th for both services.

During his visit those wishing to join CSP, confirm or reaffirm their faith and receive the laying of hands from the Bishop. 

Those adults interested in learning more about joining CSP are invited to join the new CSP 101 class

which meets Sunday morning at 9:30-10:15am in the library.  Please see Fr. Craige for more information.

Pick up a baby bottle and fill it with your loose change until Sundy, February 19th.  We will then give our bottles to the Lowcountry Pregnancy Center! Any questions call Katherine Elkin at 327-3254.

I am asking that you join us in prayer for this event-that God would indeed draw and deepen our hearts toward Him, and that many who don't yet know Him would come to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Young Jesus at the Temple

Our journey continues at the KidZone where we are following Jesus as he grows. Last week, we saw baby Jesus presented at the Temple and heard Simeon call him a "light" for the world. Father Craige blessed candles that we took home to remind us to take that light into our world.This week, we saw 12 year old Jesus in the temple in Jerusalem where he amazed the teachers and priests by his understanding of the Law of Moses. We saw how worried his parents were when the couldn't find him in the crowds. We heard Jesus tell them that he was in his "father's house." And, we saw him obey his parents. What an example Jesus is for us! During craft time, the children sent some of their own light into the world as they made "get well" cards for a three year old girl who is recovering from a long illness. Ask your children about what they learned and remind them that next week we follow Jesus as he calls his disciples to be "fishers of men!" Children, toddlers through 5th grade join us at 9:15am in the MegaZone.
